ASK MARY

NEWSFLASH !!
I feel I have to share my sad news. My beautifull Daughter, Dana, has passed away on 30th January at the age of 63, after suffering from Huntingtons disease. She is probably in a better place now after suffering for so long. I have started a Givealittle page and anyone wishing to donate, even a small amount, it would be greatly appreciated. To donate you can scroll down to the contact page at the bottom and click onto the facebook icon, to find the link on the facebook page, https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/my-beloved-daughter-danas-farewell
ABOUT ME
After many years of heading out to work each day, I am now based at home, and being at retirement age, want to pass my extensive knowledge on to others. I started at the age of 10, designing and making my own clothes, and even my own wedding dress. This led to me designing garments and creating my own fashion label which was called "ME" aptly, after my name Mary Elizabeth.
At the age of 33 I sat numerous cosmetics courses, which led me to securing several certificates for Helena Rubenstein, Max Factor, and Shiseido, allowing me to teach students at Unitec, skincare, makeup and cosmetic applications, all the while working in Pharmacy for 15 years. One of my favourite attributes is Interior Designing, as my Husband had his own Residential Building Company, designing and constructing Module and Container Homes, hence I used to design and advise on colourings and specific matching tones etc. for the clients. I used to work alongside my Husband on the actual building sites and have vast experience on all facets of the Construction industry, in fact I have more than completed my unofficial apprenticeship.
I worked at a large Convention Centre where weddings, hair cutting ceremonies, private functions, etc. were held, mainly preparation of food, which led me to cheffing in our own Restaurant in a Motel we had purchased on Waiheke Island, serving up to 150 people at a time.
I purchased an inner City Lunchbar working from 3.30am until 6.00pm seven days per week which I ran for three years.
The Accountancy firm, Arthur Anderson, one of the largest Accountancy Companies in Auckland, offered me a position for a two year period, reorganising their client database library, which ended up me being awarded employee of the year out of 650 staff, earning my Husband and I, a three day break in Christchurch.
There is nothing better than Lifes Experiences!
So, I am inviting questions on subjects relating to my own experiences and will endeavor to answer them as best I can.
